Core Identities

Core Identities

Radiant Hill Church has four core identities that are central to our way of life. These values will guide us in the mission to which God has called us. We desire for them to shape both who we become and how we live.

Centered on the Gospel

The gospel is the good news of our God rescuing us from sin, death and hell by the work of Jesus on the cross. By the gospel, God reconnects us with Himself and others, making us into a new family called the Church.

The gospel means that we turn to God and away from our sin, grant grace and forgiveness to others and extend kindness and compassion to those around us. The gospel calls us to reject both self-righteousness and self-loathing, requiring us to see ourselves as desperate people in need, yet more loved than we ever believed.

Rather than dried up religion, we desire a full life in Christ. We value gospel doctrine and gospel culture, doing all we can to recover grace within the spaces we occupy. As a people centered on the gospel, we desire to be a community that is always welcoming, always glad and always announcing the gospel.

Living in Community

Scripture tells us that the Church is a family. We view our own families as small communities under Christ and our church as a union of people who are a larger family. The family of Christ comes from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds reflecting the beautiful diversity of humanity made in the image of God.

We believe that life together shapes us, challenges us, transforms us and is a gift of God to every believer. Radiant Hill is a community that actively decides to walk in the light together, encouraging and equipping others no matter their current stage or station.

Engaged in Mission

We see from Jesus’ life and teaching that we are to love our neighbor and serve the broken and hurting. As sent people, we are to bring helping hands and hopeful news to our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, places of play, and the world. We are a people who live open-handed lives, knowing that it is better to give than receive.

We desire to be a community that practices radical hospitality, including the marginalized and those who think differently than us, like Jesus did. We value engagement with culture and hope to thoughtfully and strategically invest in the community around us, having a redemptive impact. If this group of believers was to vanish, we want the surrounding community to notice!

Focused on Multiplication

In the Great Commission, Jesus tells His followers to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them all that Jesus taught. We focus on multiplication by emphasizing a disciple-making culture on a micro and macro level.

As Christians, we aren’t afraid to be creative and thoughtful so that we may invite others into a life with God and to join Him on His mission in the world. On a micro level, this looks like gospel conversations with those who are far from God. On a macro level, this looks like planting new churches in the Denver Metro area and around the world.

It’s our desire to cultivate movement dynamics that encourage renewal and revival in Denver.
